Moonee Valley Foundation

Our Mission

To award grants to assist young people in the City of Moonee Valley. The grant money is to be used to achieve excellence in education, training, or in personal endeavors that will ultimately  benefit the Moonee Valley community at large.   

What is the Foundation

The Foundation was formed by Essendon City Council in 1986 to celebrate 125 years of local government. It was initially called Essendon Anniversary Scholarship Trust and was developed to provide ongoing awards for local young adults. Public donations and council backing established the core funding and awards have been made annually to worthy individuals since 1986. Over this time the Moonee Valley Foundation has also conducted seminars on relevant topics and continued to raise funds. 

The Foundation is managed by a Board of Directors consisting of local business and professional people.
